[D]escription:

    Hinako is able to secrete odourless pheromones from her apocrine glands, which can decrease the sensitivity of the five senses (touch, smell, sight, hearing, and taste), depending on what pheromones she releases. As of current she's able to significantly decrease any of the senses, almost erase them completely, but is only able to release one pheromone type at a time.

    Once inhaled, her quirk takes effect for anywhere between a few minutes to a few hours depending on what concentration of pheromone she secretes. Currently, Hinako is only able to decrease an opponent's sensitivity for a few minutes, and is able to almost completely nullify it for a few seconds.

On the surface, Hinako seems like kind and pleasant classmate- one that is liked by most around her as she goes out of her way to befriend even the most unlikely of candidates. She appears to be both generous and selfless, almost suspiciously so, as she doesn't ask for anything in return. Unknown to most, however, her real personality is crass, vulgar, and incredibly bratty. Being as socially aware as she is, Hinako knows that that her real personality isn't very sociable or likeable and so has adopted the persona that she has, and seldom does she reveal her real self. Enjoying being at the center of attention, she holds herself in very high regard and expects to be treated well wherever she goes, and so in situations where she's at a disadvantage, this pleasant mask may just start to slip. 

Being the only daughter and youngest of the family, Hinako grew up spoilt rotten and over the years has learned how to manipulate not only her family members, but those around her into doing what she wants. She is strong willed, decisive, and knows exactly what she wants out of life and is prepared to stop at nothing to get it, and throwing a tantrum or two is definitely not below her. Her unwillingness to be controlled manifests in a need to control others and displays itself in her increadibly stubborn streak. She is inflexible and finds to difficult to adapt to situations where she views herself at a disadvantage, as she likes stability and situations she can control. Hinako has strong convictions about what is right and wrong, and above all, what is socially acceptable. Hinako is almost obsessed to a fault with her social appearance and is deeply concerned with public opinions, and so will try and maintain her pubic image even in the most extreme of scenarios.

[H]istory:

Hinako was born as the second child into a rather well-off family residing in Japan. As her parents were often busy running a private hospital geared towards treating and rehabilitating professional heros, they seldom had time to spend with their family. As such, most of her upbringing was done by a nanny and her older brother of two years (See Misc. section). Her quirk manifested at two years of age and was almost direct copy of her mother's anaesthesia mist quirk, only that instead of targeting consciousness directly, Hinako's quirk was based around the five senses making up consciousness.

The early years of Hinako's education passed by in a bit of a blur, as before becoming socially aware and realising that her personality was rather problematic, young Hinako often spoke her mind and didn't care at all of what others thought of her. It wasn't until she faced ostracization she realised that things had to change and that there was power in being well liked by her peers. 

Middle school was a fresh start for her, as she'd convinced her parents to let her attend a school a little further out and it was during this period she perfected her kind exterior and gained the status of social butterfly. It was also during middle school she was scouted as a model where she quickly fell in love with the additional attention and status she received from her work. On one particular job, she had the chance to shoot with some professional heroes as part of a new promotional campaign. Up until this point, Hinako was certain modelling was the career she'd be happy in for the rest of her life, but after talking with some of the present heroes she fast learned that there was another side to hero work. Social heroes that spent more time promoting and focusing on their side jobs, such as Uwabami, existed and that made becoming a hero suddenly much more appealing. 

Suddenly changing trajectories came as a surprise to many people, as until then most people had assumed for her to continue down the path she was already set on. Also because her grades were shockingly mediocre-- As Hinako's quirk wasn't considered conventionally strong for a hero, many courses denied her application including hero course her brother graduated from. All except one- Plus Ultra Hero Facility.
